Christine Piper is a writer and editor. Her first novel, After Darkness, won the 2014 The Australian/Vogel's Literary Award and was shortlisted for the 2015 Miles Franklin Literary Award, and is currently studied for the Victorian Certificate of Education. It was recently translated into Japanese. She won the 2014 Calibre Prize for her essay 'Unearthing the Past'. Her articles, reviews and short stories have been published in newspapers, magazines, journals and anthologies. Born in Asia and raised in Australia, she has lived in Japan and the US.
